Notre Dame banged out 14 hits. Katlyn Kelly and Tracie Kluesner both had three hits and scored three runs while Stacy Schwartz had two hits and drove in three runs. Sara Berkbigler added three RBIs.

Julie Hager was the losing hurler for St. Vincent, which was also playing its season opener.

"It was a good way to start the season," said Notre Dame coach Chris Janet. "We played real well for the first game. We only committed one error, we swung the bats well and Lindsay looked sharp on the mound."

The Lady Bulldogs will be back in action today as they face rival Cape Girardeau Central at Arena Park.
