BROSELEY -- Jill Huber singled with two out in the seventh inning to break up a no-hitter as Notre Dame fell to Twin Rivers, 3-0.
Huber took the loss on the mound for Notre Dame (8-10) despite pitching well. She went six innings, allowing five hits, striking out nine and walking four.
Twin Rivers scored a single run in the bottom of the second and two in the fifth.
Perryville 10, Jackson 1
JACKSON -- Trailing 2-1 after five innings and 3-1 entering the seventh, Jackson made five errors in the seventh as Perryville scored seven runs and blew the game open.
Jackson, which totaled six hits, is now 17-6. The Lady Indians' Stacey DeClue went 2-for-3 and Beth Becker took the loss.
Ste. Genevieve 11, St. Vincent 5
STE. GENEVIEVE -- St. Vincent is now 4-12 after its loss to Ste. Genevieve. The Squaws totaled just three hits.
Missy Thomas took the loss.
St. Vincent's JV squad lost 16-8.
Boys soccer
Carbondale 2, Cape Central 1
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- After a scoreless first half, Carbondale scored two second-half goals and held off Central.
Carbondale scored six minutes into the second half and added a second goal 14 minutes later. Cody Hill put Central (4-8-2) on the board at the 68-minute mark, but it proved to be the only goal for the Tigers.
"We had a lot of good opportunities the last 12 minutes, but we just couldn't put one in the net," said Cape Central coach Tom Doyle.
Central's JV team tied Carbondale 1-1.
Notre Dame 10, Farmington 0
FARMINGTON -- Behind a hat trick from Oliver Sanders, Notre Dame demolished the Knights and are now 10-1-1.
Zach Miller and Ryan Fenwick each added two goals. Tommy Wencewicz, Adam Obermiller and Mark Buehrle each had one.
Miller and Nick Kapher both contributed two assists. Jason Garner, Buehrle, Sanders, Matt Bollinger and Chris Dirnberger each had one.
Notre Dame's JV team won 6-0 and is now 7-0-1. Scott Wittenborn, Shane Kistner, Andy Arnzen, Nathan LeGrand, Timmy Wencewicz and Matt Popst each scored.
Jackson 4, Sikeston 2
JACKSON -- Jackson's aim was off, but the Indians beat Sikeston nonetheless and improved to 8-3.
The Indians fired 47 shots on goal. Attempts from Spencer Knowlan, Nathan Windeknecht, Raju Dirnberger and Tyler Stearns found the net. Paul Johns and Dustin Adams both had assists.
Jackson's JV team won 4-0.
On Monday, Jackson lost 3-2 to Belleville, Ill.
Volleyball
Cape Central 15-4-17, Chaffee 8-15-15
CHAFFEE -- Central picked up its second win of the season against Chaffee.
Jessica Balogh contributed eight kills, including five in the third game, as the Lady Tigers moved to 2-9-2.
"The girls played a really good game tonight," said Central coach April Morgan. "I was real proud of their play."
Ste. Genevieve 15-15, Jackson 13-13
JACKSON -- Jackson lost just its second match this season against Ste. Genevieve. The Lady Indians are now 14-2-2.
Jackson's Heather Brown totaled 21 assists and 12 digs, Chrissi Glastetter contributed 13 kills, 12 digs and six blocks and Andrea Keopper had five kills, seven blocks, four service aces and 20 digs.
Jackson's JV team lost 7-15, 15-12, 7-15 and the freshman lost 7-15, 5-15.
Meadow Heights 15-15, Bell City 6-10
PATTON -- Meadow Heights moved to 11-6 with its victory over Bell City.
Meadow Heights' Brandi Bollinger collected 29 assists, Rachael Yount totaled 22 digs, five blocks and eight kills and Kristi Hahs added eight kills.
Meadow Heights' JV team won 15-9, 18-16.
Leopold 15-15, Oak Ridge 3-8
OAK RIDGE -- Leopold's record improved to 10-4-1 with its straight-game win over Oak Ridge.
Leopold's Lisa Peters and Gwen Vandeven both had four kills, Kelly Wesbecher added seven assists and three kills and Sarah Gowen tallied four assists and three kills.
Leopold's JV team won 16-14, 16-14.
Herculaneum 8-15-15, Perryville 15-10-13
HERCULANEUM -- After winning the first game, Perryville dropped the next two and lost to Herculaneum. Perryville is now 8-9-2 and 2-3 in the Jefferson County Conference.
Perryville's Jamie Amberger had eight digs, Nicole Blechle eight assists and four kills, Mandy Kirn five kills and Shannon Dreyer six assists.
Perryville's JV team won 15-3, 15-13.
Hillsboro 15-14-15, St. Vincent 10-16-11
PERRYVILLE -- St. Vincent lost two players to illness during the match but still took Hillsboro to three games.
St. Vincent fell to 5-9-4. Tiffany Moll had 12 service points, Kaci Kutz nine kills, Jessica Lakenan nine kills, Casey Kirn 26 assists and Stephanie Schremp 10 digs.
