NAYLOR — Home was very sweet for the Naylor Lady Eagles Tuesday night.
Facing sixth-seeded Southland in the first round of the Class 1 District 1 Tournament, the third-seeded Lady Eagles topped the Lady Rebels 69-33.
Third-seeded Naylor was led by Harley Sullivan with a game-high 34 points and Chloe Mitchell with 21 points.
“Offensively, we moved the ball and got open shots,” said Naylor head coach Logan Foster. “In the second half, we did a good job of taking away Southland’s two best players.”
Southland was led by Kylie Walker with 15 points.
Naylor takes on No. 2 seed Scott County Central in the district semifinals Thursday night.

Twin Rivers 64, Caruthersville 11
At Portageville, the Twin Rivers Lady Royals routed the Caruthersville Tigers in their district opener Tuesday night.
The third-seeded Lady Royals’ leading scorers were Amelia Douglas with 17 points and Charly Johnson with 16 points.
“We came out and executed on offense and defense,” said Twin Rivers head coach David Crockett. “We shot the ball pretty well, also. We played our game and are moving on.”
Naomi Northern led the sixth-seeded Caruthersville squad with seven points.

Hayti 42, Bloomfield 41
At Bloomfield, the fourth-seeded Lady Indians edged out the fifth-seeded Bloomfield Lady Wildcats in their district opener.
Bloomfield led 21-16 at the half, but Hayti outscored the Wildcats 16-8 in the third quarter for a 32-29 lead.
Bloomfield led the scoring 12-10 in the fourth quarter but still came up one point short.
Bloomfield’s leading scorers were Kaelyn Conner with 12 points and Abbigail Heaton with 11.
Treazure Johnson and Kanasia Borders each scored 14 points for the Lady Indians.

Grandview 51, Clearwater 14
At Park Hills, the third-seeded Grandview (Hillsboro) Eagles eliminated the sixth-seeded Clearwater Lady Tigers in their district opener Tuesday.
REGULAR SEASON
Doniphan 60, Saxony Lutheran 44
The Doniphan Donettes won over the Saxony Lutheran Crusaders Tuesday night at Jackson.
“It took a bit to get away from them,” said Doniphan head coach Adam Epps. “They play hard and do the little things right.”
The Donettes were led by Gracen Kirby with 17 points, Kenzie Reedus with 15, and Brook Klepzig with 13.
“Kirby and Klepzig got us going offensively,” Epps said. “McKenna Monaghan did a lot off the scoring sheet with nine rebounds and seven assists.
“We have some things to clean up, but that’s a nice showing on the road against a district opponent.”
The Crusaders’ leading scorer was Emma Dunning with 12 points.
BOYS
Dexter 82, Notre Dame 65
The Dexter Bearcats won on the road over the Notre Dame Bulldogs Tuesday night in Cape Girardeau.
Cole Nichols led all scorers with 34 for the Bearcats. Teammate Truman Kropf scored 25 points and connected on eight three-point shots.
“I thought we played well offensively,” said Dexter head coach Chad Allen. “We’ve got to get back in the gym and get prepared for district action next week.”
Notre Dame’s leading scorers were Kolton Johnson with 18 points and Greg Dennis with 15 points.
