The Poplar Bluff Mules improved to 4-2 on Monday at the Gulf Coast Classic when they topped the Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils 9-4. Marcus Tabanera was the leading guy in the lineup from behind the plate. He led the Mules with four RBIs while going 2/4 at the plate. Bryce Dobbs, and Kolby Greenwall each collected two hits for Poplar Bluff. Noah Spain earned the win for the Mules as the starting pitcher allowed five hits and two runs over three and one-third innings, striking out three and walking one. The Mules will take on Bradley-Bourbonnais for their second game of the tournament.
