Kevin Winters Morriss will take the helm as sports editor of the Southeast Missourian, effective Sept. 1.
Winters Morriss, currently the assistant sports editor, succeeds Toby Carrig, who will devote more time to his duties as sports editor of Semoball.com, the regional Web site that includes content from the Southeast Missourian as well as other daily newspapers in the region as well as unique content such as video, blogs and photo galleries.
