Missourian prep tennis roundup, May 1: Notre Dame sweeps Sikeston in season finale

Notre Dame (14-5) concluded its regular season with a dominant 9-0 win on the road, traveling to Sikeston (2-8) and sweeping the Bulldogs to finish perfect in seasonal SEMO Conference play.

Charlie West (8-0), Matthew Austin (8-0), Thomas Southard (8-0), Eli Youngblood (8-0), Owen Blattel (8-0) and Blake Schreckenberg (8-0) all took singles sweeps, while the pairings of West/Austin (8-0), Southard/Youngblood (8-0) and Blattel/Schreckenberg (8-2) took doubles wins to solidify the sweep for Notre Dame.

Notre Dame is next in action on Thursday, taking part in an individual tournament at Farmington to open up postseason play.
