The Eureka Wildcats defeated the Jackson Indians 9-0 on Wednesday at Eureka High School.

In singles play, the Indians were defeated in all six matches and the closest margin of victory for Eureka was 8-5 when sophomore Connor Strickland was narrowly defeated by Matt Schickler.

In doubles play, Jackson was defeated in all three matches and the closest margin of victory for the Wildcats was 8-5 when Strickland and freshman Jeramy Essner were beaten by Joseph Propeck and Glass.

The Indians will compete in the Farmington Invitational Tournament this weekend.

__Notre Dame 9, Poplar Bluff 0__

The Notre Dame Bulldogs defeated the Poplar Bluff Mules 9-0 on Wednesday at Poplar Bluff High School.

In singles play, Notre Dame went 6-0 with freshman Owen Blattel having the largest margin of victory over Poplar Bluff’s Matthew Penn by an 8-1 score.

In doubles play, the Bulldogs went 3-0 with the team of junior Thomas Southard and senior Eli Youngblood defeating the Mules’ team of Towns and Penn by the largest score margin of 8-1.

Notre Dame will compete in the Belleville East (IL) Invitational Tournament this weekend.
