The Cape Central Tigers girls basketball team lost 55-54 against Scott County Central at Scott County Central High School.
The Tigers were led by Emani Summers with 14 points, followed by Gracyn Morris with 13 and Jamie Dawson-Ide with 10.
Cape Central will next compete in the First State Community Bank Holiday Classic beginning on Saturday at Saxony Lutheran High School.
__Leopold 62, Bell City 61__
Leopold boys basketball defeated Bell City 62-61 on Tuesday. Noland Beussink led the Wildcats with 20 points with six baskets from the three-point line. Josh Horrell, Austin Broshuis, and Tommy Beussink each scored 11 points for Leopold, who collectively made 12 three-point shots and went 6-of-13 from the free-throw line.
Bell City was led by Logan Stubenrauch, who scored 17 points and Kale Richardson, who scored 14 points.
__Saxony Lutheran 52, North County 24__
Saxony Lutheran boys basketball defeated North County 52-24 on Tuesday. Luke Eggemeyer led the Crusaders with 23 points, while John Hartman scored 15 points.

Cape Central girls swimming defeated Ladue Horton Watkins 96-90 on Tuesday.

Jackson track alum Blake Smith has been elected to the Southeast Missouri State athletics Hall of Fame on Wednesday.
