Seven runs in the first inning saw Scott City softball (4-3) easily cruise past Scott County Central (2-4) by a 22-1 margin on the road on Monday night.

Gracie Karrenbrock’s four hits led the Rams, while Graycie Conklin and Mackenzie Lawless both notched three hits in the win. All three of these batters finished with a game-high three RBIs each.

The Rams next host Delta at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Advance (5-1) used a frenzied offense to down Bernie (2-5) on Monday, scoring 15 runs in just four innings to take a dominant 15-0 win at home.

Brogan Wright-Hawkins led the Hornets with three hits, while Natalee Roper’s six RBIs on just two hits led all hitters in the game. Kaylee Cline drove in another four runs on two hits.

Advance’s Addie Carlton started for the Hornets and pitched 2.1 innings, walking two and striking out five. Wright-Hawkins pitched the remaining 1.2 innings while walking three, allowing a hit and striking out three batters.

Advance next hosts Holcomb at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.\
