Advance (6-3) scored 10 runs over the first two innings to mount Scott County Central (3-5) and didn’t let up, scoring four more runs en route to a five-inning 14-1 victory.
Addison Carlton, Ava Bowling and Cali Duncan all finished with two hits in the win for Advance, with Carlton’s game-high three RBIs pushing the Advance offense to a strong outing.
Brogan Wright-Hawkins pitched a five-inning complete game, earning the win for the Hornets while allowing just three hits, two walks, a hit-by-pitch and one earned run while striking out three batters.
Advance next plays at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday against Bloomfield (1-3).
