Saxony Lutheran 13, Caruthersville 3

The Saxony Lutheran Crusaders defeated the Caruthersville Tigers 13-3 on Friday at Saxony Lutheran High School.

The offense of Saxony was led by senior Aaron Eubanks who went 2-4 with three RBIs, Eubanks also pitched all six innings and finished with five strikeouts.

Caruthersville grabbed a 2-0 lead in the top of the first but Saxony scored three in the bottom half of the inning and never looked back. Six other Crusaders got on the board with RBIs to reach the ten-run threshold. Senior Jace Boland and junior Blake Gaebler each finished with two while sophomore Brayden Moore, senior Drew Hahs, junior Owen Tarry and senior Lucas Koenig each had one.

Saxony Lutheran visits Meadow Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

__Pattonville 13, Woodland 0__

The Pattonville Pirates defeated the Woodland Cardinals 13-0 in the Wood Bat Showcase on Friday at Cape Central High School.

The offense of the Cardinals was led by senior Josy Cook who was able to reach base on a walk.

Much of the work on the mound for Woodland was done by junior Brayden Hastings who finished with two strikeouts.

Woodland will take on Elsberry in the showcase on Saturday.
