Notre Dame (3-2) bounced back on Monday night with a big win on the road, dominating New Madrid County Central (4-3) with a 12-4 win after scoring seven runs in the fourth inning.

Senior catcher Cole Lemons hit a home run while driving in four runs on two hits, while Will Morgan’s three hits led the team.

Junior Jack Evans earned the win on the mound for the Bulldogs, throwing for 6.0 innings while allowing two hits, three walks and a hit-by-pitch, earning just one run while striking out seven batters.

Notre Dame next plays at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Poplar Bluff (6-6).

__Kelly 11, Bell City 2__

Kelly baseball (9-3) began a new winning streak on Monday with a sizeable 11-2 victory against Bell City (4-5), scoring three-or-more runs in three innings.

Dalton Forck and Nicholas Christian finished with three hits in the win for Kelly, with the two combining for seven RBIs on three and four respectively.

Junior Easton Newell notched the lone hit of the day for the Cubs while drawing a walk, plating a run and reaching base twice in the loss.

Sophomore pitcher Ross Peters earned the win for Kelly with 5.0 innings pitched, allowing one hit, three walks and two hit-by-pitches without earning a run on eight strikeouts. Christian appeared in relief, pitching 2.0 innings without earning a run.

Kelly next plays at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Cooter (9-1), while Bell City next plays at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Oak Ridge (3-3).

__Saxony Lutheran 8, Ellington 6__

Saxony Lutheran (4-1) returned to action after two weeks off with a tough win against Ellington (6-8), winning 8-6 after holding the Whippets scoreless for the final five innings.

Carson Birk and Reid Bengtson both finished with two hits in the win, while Aaron Eubanks drove in a game-high three RBIs with a hit and a walk.

Eubanks took the mound in the second inning and pitched 5.1 innings, allowing five hits and a walk without earning any runs to earn the win.

Saxony Lutheran next hosts East Carter (4-9) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
