Southeast Missouri State fell on the road to Tennessee State 85-65 on Thursday at Gentry Center in Nashville.

“We didn’t get any of the defensive effort required to win any basketball game, let alone a late February road game,” SEMO head coach Brad Korn said. “We went extremely cold offensively in the second half and we just had zero defensive intensity.”

The Redhawks were led by Chris Harris with 15 points followed by Phillip Russell with 14 points.

The Redhawks shot 4-of-25 from the three-point line while the Tigers made 10-of-29 from beyond the arc.

SEMO returns to the Show Me Center at 4 p.m. on Saturday against Morehead State in a battle for first place of the Ohio Valley Conference.

__NCAAW: SEMO 90, TSU 86__

SEMO defeated TSU 90-86 on Thursday at Gentry Center in Nashville, TN.

The Redhawks were led by Kiyley Flowers with 21 points, followed by Jaliyah Green and Sophie Bussard who each scored 19 points. Also in the scoring column were Kennedi Watkins and Rahmena Henderson with 13 and 11, respectively.

SEMO returns to the Show Me Center at 2 p.m. on Saturday to take on Morehead State.
