Missouri romps past Colorado

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- DeMarre Carroll had 13 points and 11 rebounds and Missouri shot a season-best 63 percent while matching another season best with 12 3-pointers in a 107-62 rout of Colorado on Wednesday.

The Tigers (14-3, 1-1 Big 12) won their 12th in a row at home after a lineup shakeup by coach Mike Anderson, putting the game away with a 19-0 first-half run without two starters.

Second-leading scorer Leo Lyons was suspended indefinitely after an arrest on traffic charges led to discovery of an unpaid fine from 2006, and top 3-point threat Matt Lawrence didn't start for the first time this season after getting held to six points in a conference-opening loss at Nebraska.

Freshman Lawrence Bowers scored all but four of his 16 points after halftime, while J.T. Tiller and Marcus Denmon had 13 points apiece for Missouri, which led by only four just past the midway point of the first half.

The margin of victory was Missouri's most lopsided ever in Big 12 regular-season play, topping a pair of 31-point decisions over Colorado and Texas A&M in 1999-2000.

Tiller scored six straight points on a fast-break dunk and four free throws during the run that made it 40-17 with 3:10 to go in the half, while Colorado was scoreless for more than six minutes.
