Mets get big boost in 9th to drop Reds

NEW YORK -- Mo Vaughn singled in the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the New York Mets a 3-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Friday night.

After Vaughn sent John Riedling's first pitch back up the middle, Rey Ordonez ran home with his hands in the air as the screaming Merengue Night crowd made Shea Stadium shake.
