ST. LOUIS -- Scott Mellanby scored with 1:17 left and Scott Young added two goals as the St. Louis Blues beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3 on Saturday night.

St. Louis has won four consecutive games, including a 3-1 victory Thursday night in Columbus. The Blues also have won their last five home games.

Young has four goals in his last four games and seven for the season after leading the team with 40 last season. Doug Weight added three assists for the Blues, who outshot Columbus 37-22.

Mellanby beat goalie Marc Denis though the pads on the game-winner. Jamal Mayers passed from behind the net to Mellanby, who shot as he was falling down in the slot.

The Blues took a 2-0 lead in the first period, scoring twice on their first four shots.

Young opened the scoring a 1:42. Weight carried the puck behind the net and passed to Young, who directed the puck in with defenseman Lyle Odelein draped over his back. The goal came on the first shot of the game.

Weight fed Young for the Blues second goal at 6:11. In the corner, Weight fought off defenseman Jamie Pushor and passed to Young, who was left alone in the slot.
