JACKSON -- Penny McCormick rolled a 776-handicap total to post a 22-pin victory in the Cape Girardeau Women's Bowling Association 58th annual Handicap Tournament held this past weekend at Jackson Lanes.

With a 630 scratch score and 146 handicap, McCormick outdistanced Janis Burford and Debbie Wehmeyer, who both had higher scratch totals but finished tied at 754.

In doubles, Wehmeyer and Stacey Kinikin eked out a three-pin victory with a 1,410 total. Placing a close second at 1,407 was the pair of Linda Eudy and Terre Bowers.

Wehmeyer also claimed the handicap all-events award with a 2,069 total (519 team, 668 doubles, 690 singles, handicap 192).

Bowers had the highest cumulative scratch score with a 1,925 total (635 team, 577 doubles, 713 singles).

Eudy rolled the highest scratch game at 277, while Bowers' 713 was the highest scratch series.
