WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Billy Mayfair shot a bogey-free, 8-under 63 Friday and grabbed a share of the second-round lead in the Michelob Championship with David Duval.
Duval shot a 69 and was at 9-under 133. First-round co-leader Hidemichi Tanaka was one shot back after a 70.
Loren Roberts, Corey Pavin and Charles Howell III were among a group of six at 135. Roberts shot a bogey-free 69 that ended with 11 consecutive pars.
Also at 135 were Brandt Jobe, Jose Coceres and Peter Jacobsen.
LPGA: Cristie Kerr capped a course-record 64 with her second eagle of the round and took a one-shot lead over Annika Sorenstam after two rounds of the Samsung World Championship at Vallejo, Calif.
Kerr's 8-under round left her at 12 under for the tournament.
She chipped in from off the green on the par-5 18th to complete her round with a birdie-birdie-eagle finish.
Sorenstam, who had seven birdies in a 67, was at 11 under, one stroke ahead of Rosie Jones, who shot a 66.
First-round leader Michele Redman faltered on the back nine with two bogeys and dropped to 9 under.
SENIORS: Steve Stull bogeyed his final two holes in a 4-under 68 that left him in a three-way tie for the lead after the first round of the Turtle Bay Championship at Kahuku, Hawaii
Jim Albus and R.W. Eaks also had 68s at the Turtle Bay Resort's 7,044-yard oceanside Palmer Course.
Defending champion Hale Irwin was a stroke back.
