Southeast Missouri State football coach Tom Matukewicz announced the addition of three more coaches to his first staff on Wednesday.

Jon Wiemers will serve as the Redhawks' offensive line coach as well as assistant head coach, Ricky Coon will coach the defensive line and Matt Martin was named running backs coach and special team coordinator.

Wiemers and Martin both spent time at Emporia State, where Matukewicz coached the defensive line from 2000-2001.

Wiemers was a graduate assistant who oversaw tight ends and then coached the offensive line at Emporia State during the time Matukewicz was at the school. He then became the school's offensive coordinator for three seasons. He moved on to serve as offensive coordinator at Concord University and Coffeyville Community College before serving as the head coach at Arkansas City High School in 2011 and 2012. He spent last season as the offensive line coach at William Penn.

He was an all-conference linebacker and team captain at Division II Saganaw Valley State in Michigan.

Martin played and was a two-year captain at Emporia State before becoming a graduate assistant in charge of safeties in 2006. He left to coach outside linebackers at Nebraska-Kearney for two seasons before returning to Emporia State to coach special teams and wide receivers.

Coon was the defensive coordinator and defensive line coach at Northwest Mississippi Community College last season. Before that he spent a year as the defensive line coach at Southwest Baptist University. He's also coached the defensive line or served as defensive coordinator or the strength and conditioning coach at Bethel College, Northern State, Highland Community College and Ellsworth Community College.

Coon was a defensive lineman at Dodge City Community College and Bethel College before playing two seasons in the Arena Football League.

"I have signed several players that played for Ricky over the years and every one of them were well coached and loved playing for him," Matukewicz said in a press release from the university. "We are thrilled to have him and his family join our team."
