John A. Logan took a 50-shot lead with a 432 total during the first day of the Shawnee Invitational at Dalhouise Golf Club.

Rend Lake was at 482, Missouri Baptist followed at 486 and host Shawnee Junior College was fourth at 501 in the seven-team field.

Former local high school golfers in the field include Shawnee's Jack Connell Jr. (84-43--127) and Brett Slaten (89-43--132), and Missouri Baptist's Blake McDowell (84-45--129).
