The Doniphan Donettes cruise to an opening victory at the Lady Royals Christmas Classic with a 74-18 win over the Senath-Hornersville Lady Lions.
Kenzie Redus led the way with a big 16 points for the Donettes. Sarah Owen added 14 points while freshman Carsyn Hagood (11 points) and Kensey Killian (10 points) also finished in double figures.
Doniphan will take on the winner of Poplar Bluff and Greenville on Monday at 6 p.m. in the second round.

Poplar Bluff moves on to take on top-seeded Doniphan on Monday in the second round. The Lady Mules were led by Kennedy Zgaynor and her 17 points while Ireland Gowen had a big 13 points with multiple steals for PBHS.

The Neelyville Lady Tigers make short work of the Hayti Lady Indians in the third game of Saturday's opening round.
Parker Ernst led the way with 20 points while Addison Couch (15 points), Layni Dobbins (10 points) and Alaina Prince (10 points) all finished in double figures.
Neelyville will play Portageville on Monday.

Portageville cruised by Malden on Saturday to advance to Monday's second round against the Neelyville Lady Tigers.

Per Twin Rivers AD Kelly Westerfield "Due to sickness Naylor will not be able to participate in the first round and will forfeit to East Carter. The game times following this game will remain the same and not change. Twin Rivers and Piggott will begin at 4:15 as planned."
East Carter will advance to the quarterfinals while Naylor is scheduled to compete in the consolation bracket.

The Twin Rivers Lady Royals secured their spot in the next round with a 53-35 win over the Piggott Lady Mohawks.
Maci Hockersmith led the Lady Royals with 14 points. Makenna Russell added with nine points, while Amelia Douglas and Anne Mittelstadt both chipped in with eight points and Raegan Null had six.
Twin Rivers will take on the East Carter Lady Redbirds on Monday.

The Kennett Lady Indians didn’t waste any time putting their opponents away as they eased past New Madrid County Central 84-21.
Alyce Edwards had a monster game for the Lady Indians by dropping 35 points. E’Marriha Johnson added with 18 points and Tayja Carter chipped in with 16 points.
Kennett will take on the winner of Dexter and Holcomb on Monday.

The Dexter Lady Bearcats brought their ‘A’ game on Saturday and got a dominating victory over Holcomb 78-21.
Kate Nichols led the Lady Bearcats with 25 points. Abbie Lloyd chipped in with 21 points, Mauriona Menley chipped in with nine points, while Allison Turnbo added with seven points.
Dexter will take on Kennett on Monday.
