Jack Litzelfelner of Jackson shot a two-day total of 5-under-par 139 to claim the boys medalist honor at the Big I National Championship qualifying tournament at Dalhousie Golf Club.

Litzelfelner followed up a tournament-low round of 4-under-par 68 with a 71 on Tuesday for a 139 total and four-shot win over Walker Kesterson of Hartsburg, Missouri.

Both players qualified for national tournament, which will have qualifiers from 39 states, Aug. 3 to 6 at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Sam Holmes of Springfield, Missouri, was another three strokes back at 146 to place third in the 21-player boys field. Jaden Hightower (82-80) of Jackson tied for 11th at 162.

Allison Bray of Cape Girardeau won the girls division with a two-day total of 159 after rounds of 83 and 76 and was the lone qualifier in the three-player field. Samantha Hightower (89-88) of Jackson placed second at 177, while Alyssa Wrozier of St. Peters, Missouri, was third.
