To the editor:I work for John Deere in drivetrain operations as a manufacturing engineer with a focus on automation.
Southeast Missouri State basketball did a tremendous job preparing me for the field and my life. I am very comfortable and confident with who I am, and an enormous part of that is the things I learned playing basketball.
I was raised in a single-parent home with my mother, and when I went off to Southeast for the first time, I felt a family bond with the players, coaching staff, media and fans.
I take my hat off to all the fans and critics because they have molded me into who I am today.
I just wanted to say that I am proud to be an alumnus and former player for the Southeast Missouri State University Redhawks.
