The Leopold softball squad posted three wins Saturday, including an 11-inning upset over Delta, to win the Oak Ridge Tournament.
The Wildcats started by routing Advance 18-0 in five innings.
Senior Allison Bueter got the start against the Hornets. She tossed a complete game, striking out five batters and giving up no walks and five hits.
Leopold then posted a 2-1 win over Delta in the tourney's second round, scoring the winning run on a passed ball.
Junior Whitney Vandeven pitched all 11 innings to earn the victory over the Bobcats. She had 11 strikeouts, and out-dueled Delta pitcher Kendra Burnett who had 22 strikeouts over 11 innings.
The Wildcats then finished the day with a five-inning 14-1 victory over Oak Ridge in the title game.
Bueter struck out two and walked one in another complete-game victory.

TRACK & FIELD Simpson Invitational
The Jackson girls track team finished first Saturday in the 14-team meet at Farmington.
The Jackson boys finished second.
Landon Wachter and Jill Rushin were double-winners for Jackson's girls. Wachter captured the 200- and 400-meter dashes, while Rushin claimed the shot put and discus.
Jackson's girls finished with 124 points, followed by Ste. Genevieve with 93.
Jackson's boys had 101 points, second to Potosi's 118.
Adam Zweigart won the 100 and Jacob Bullinger won the discus.

BASEBALL Oak Ridge Tournament
Woodland won both of its games on Saturday to win the consolation bracket at the Oak Ridge Tournament.
In the first game, Woodland beat Richland 10-2. Winning pitcher Neil Miles threw four innings and struck out 10 batters.
Woodland filled up the stat sheet in the second game, beating Delta 11-7. Ben Rhodes was 2-for-2 with a pair of triples and two RBI.
Winning pitcher Jesse Long threw all five innings, allowing seven runs and striking out six batters for his first high school win.
In the winners bracket semifinal, Oak Ridge made the tournament final by rallying past Meadow Heights 7-6 in its last at-bat before time expired. Nos. 8 and 9 hitters Lucas Rohde and Adam Seabaugh started the winning rally in the bottom of the fifth inning. They both scored on a hit by Garret Light, who came in on Dustin Meyr's basehit for the go-ahead run.

GIRLS SOCCER Kickapoo tournament
The Jackson girls soccer team won two games Saturday at the tournament in Springfield, beating Kansas City O'Hara 4-1 and host Kickapoo 2-1.
Bobbi Jo Schlick scored three goals in the opener, while Carrie Brown added the other.
Against Kickapoo, Schlick and Lauren Drewett each scored a goal for the Indians (7-1), who bounced back from a loss Friday to nationally ranked St. Teresa's Academy.
