The Leopold volleyball team avenged a pool-play loss to Advance to win the Woodland Tournament on Friday night.
The Wildcats swept the championship match 25-20, 25-14.
Advance had beaten Leopold 25-20, 25-21 on Tuesday.
Allison Woodfin had seven kills and seven digs for Leopold (5-1), while Sydney Eeftink had nine assists and four digs.
Caitlin Petty had 14 assists, nine kills and six blocks. Denai Arnzen added 15 digs and six kills.
Advance, Saxony Lutheran and Leopold all won quarterfinal matchups in two games. Advance beat Zalma 25-8, 25-5; Saxony Lutheran swept Bell City 25-11, 25-15; and Leopold defeated Meadow Heights 25-10, 25-9.
It took Woodland three games to defeat Oak Ridge 20-25, 25-16, 25-16.
Advance (6-1) then defeated Saxony Lutheran 23-25, 25-13, 25-15 in semifinal action, while Leopold won 27-25, 25-8 against Woodland.
Saxony won the third-place game, beating Woodland 26-24, 15-25, 25-20.
All-tournament honors were bestowed upon Petty, Arnzen and Woodfin from Leopold. Advance's Liza Gray, Aimie Simmers, Haley Kennison and Allie Below were also named to the team along with Josie Long from Woodland, Jordan Huff from Saxony Lutheran and Lorie VanGennip from Zalma.
Perryville postponed its football game against Lift For Life Academy scheduled for Friday night due to possible severe weather.
The Pirates will host Lift For Life at 1 p.m. Monday.
