The Doniphan and Dexter boys and girls basketball teams racked up some honors when the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association released its all-district team for Class 4 District 1.

Additionally, Poplar Bluff had two players receive all-district honors in Class 6 District 1 — Darius Graham on the boys side and Madelyn Eads on the girls side.

On the girls side in Class 4, Doniphan forward Kenzie Redus was named the district player of the year, while teammates McKenna Monaghan and Brooke Klepzig both were named to the all-district team.

In addition, Doniphan head coach Adam Epps was named the district’s top coach after leading the Donettes to the district title.

Three Dexter Lady Bearcats — Kate Nichols, Caitlin Giles and Allison Turnbo — also were named all-district.

On the boys side in Class 4, Dexter‘s Cole Nichols was named player of the year, while teammates Brayden Pulliam and Truman Krapf joined him on the all-district squad.

Also earning all-district honors were Doniphan‘s Max Owen and Emmitt Jones.
