Cape Girardeau Central's Amanda Hiler recorded a hat trick as the Lady Tigers improved their soccer record to 12-4-1 with a 7-0 win over Hillsboro Wednesday at Notre Dame High School.
The game was supposed to be played on Southeast Missouri State's soccer field, but there was a scheduling conflict so the game was moved to Notre Dame.
Lori Bittle and Trisha Klipfel each punched in two goals and added one assist apiece for Cape Central, while Cameron Bennett, Amber Voerg, Jessica Ham, Sarah Brown and Rebecca Hellrich each provided assists.
Cape Central built a 4-0 lead by halftime.
"I didn't think we played as well as we did the first half (Tuesday night) against Notre Dame," said Cape Central coach Tom Doyle. "We were doing some basic things wrong. But when you're on offense the whole time and they're on defense, it's hard to concentrate on some of the fundamental things you should be doing. But we're working and just trying to get better every game."
The Lady Tigers also won the JV game 4-0. Scoring goals were Courtney Loy, Heather Hobbs, Caitlin Bahn and Melissa Hobbs. Heather Hobbs had two assists while Bahn added one.
