ST. LOUIS -- Cape Central's girls swim team accumulated 144 points to defeat McClure North and St. Louis Notre Dame in a triangular meet Monday.
Southeast won seven events in beating Notre Dame (114) by 30 points. McClure finished with 71.
Cape Central was victorious in three relay events. The Lady Tiger quartet of Mary Beth Owen, Grace Freeman, Jean Maguire and Jennifer Freeze won the medley relay (2:04.91), 200 freestyle relay (1:47.32) and 400 freestyle relay (4:01.12).
Owen also won the 50 freestyle (25.222), while Freeman won the 100 butterfly (1:05.97) and Maguire won the 100 freestyle (1:00.22). Jennifer Taylor also won the 100 backstroke (1.22.54).
Cape Central (7-3) will compete in a 28-team meet in Springfield, Mo., this weekend.
