NEELYVILLE — The East Carter Lady Redbirds had four players in double figures and steadily pulled away in the second and third quarters for a 76-63 win at Neelyville Thursday night.
East Carter led 15-13 after the opening period, but pushed its lead to 41-32 by halftime and took a 62-47 lead to the fourth quarter.
“Rebounding and free throws were the difference in the ballgame,” Neelyville coach Becky Hale said. “We have to figure out how to put four quarters together.”
Parker Golden led East Carter (14-5) with 23 points, while Anna Crowley added 20 and duo of Breanna Dohleman and Brooklyn Kearbey each finished with 15.
Parker Ernst led Neelyville with 18 points, while Layni Dobbins and Ella Eaker each had 11 apiece.
Dexter 63, Sikeston 45
At Dexter, the host Lady Bearcats opened up an 11-point lead by the end of the first quarter on the way to the win.
Dexter led 18-7 after the opening period and took a 32-21 lead to the locker room before pushing its lead to 19 points (49-30) by the start of the fourth quarter.
“We had a tough one tonight,” Dexter coach Eric Sitze said after the game. “Sikeston really made us earn it. That game seemed a lot closer than the final. Kate (Nichols) and Allison (Turnbo) stood tall tonight for us and put us on their back, and Maddie did a great job defensively for us the second half.”
Kate Nichols led the Lady Bearcats with a game-high 29 points, including nine in the first quarter, while Turnbo added 20 in the win.
Landri Hammontree scored 19 points to lead Sikeston.
Bloomfield 51, South Pemiscot 41
At Bloomfield, the host Lady Wildcats used a strong fourth quarter to pull away from South Pemiscot.
Bloomfield led 31-29 going to the fourth quarter, but outscored the Lady Bulldogs 20-12 the rest of the way to earn the victory.
Kaelyn Conner led the Lady Wildcats with 16 points, while Abbigail Heaton finished with 14.
Ayleigh Farmer paced South Pemiscot with 14 points.

SCAA Tournament
Dexter 89, Woodland 47
At Dexter, the hosts and top-seeded Bearcats had little trouble with Woodland at the Bearcat Event Center in the Stoddard County Athletic Association tournament's first semifinal behind big games from Brayden Pullum and Cole Nichols.
Pullum led Dexter with 32 points, while Cole Nichols added 29, despite neither playing in the fourth quarter as the Bearcats had the game well in hand.
Dexter led 33-14 after the opening period and 59-23 by halftime.
The Bearcats will play Bernie for the SCAA tourney title Friday.
