BONNE TERRE, Missouri — The Poplar Bluff Lady Mules got a big game from Madelyn Eads and pulled away in the second half for a 52-35 win over the North County Lady Raiders Friday night.

Poplar Bluff (11-13) led just 19-18 at halftime, but extended its lead to 34-28 after three quarters. However, the fourth quarter belonged to the Lady Mules, who outscored host North County 18-7 to come away with the win.

Eads led Poplar Bluff with 20 points — including 11-of-14 from the foul line in the final period — while Kennedy Zgaynor added nine and Clara Rahlmann had eight.

East Carter 76, Greenville 34

At Greenville, the visiting Lady Redbirds rolled past Greenville behind a trio of 20-point scorers.

Brooklyn Kearbey led East Carter with 21 points, while Breanna Dohlemann added 21 and Parker Golden finished with 20.

Ashlyn West paced Greenville with nine points, while Ariel West chipped in eight.

Meadow Heights 57, Twin Rivers 53

At Broseley, the Lady Royals dropped their regular-season finale despite three players scoring in double figures.

Charly Johnson paced Twin Rivers with 14 points, while Amelia Douglas added 12 and Haylyn Crockett had 10.

WBA boys to play for MCSAA state title, girls for third

At the Missouri Christian School Athletic Association state tournament in Joplin, the Westwood Baptist Academy Eagles will face off for the state championship Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Lady Eagles will play Center Place Christian for third place Saturday at 8 a.m.

Clearwater 83, Ellington 79

At Piedmont, the host Tigers took a 13-point lead to the fourth quarter, then held off a late charge byEllington to get some momentum ahead of districts next week.

Clearwater led 41-31 at halftime and 64-51 entering the final period, but the Whippets outscored the hosts 28-19 in the final eight minutes to make it interesting late.

Charles Robbins drained seven 3-points on his way to a game-high 36 points for the Tigers, while Landon Towe added 14 points — including four 3s — Lance Dilport tossed in 13 and Keegan Gracey had 12.

Colby Hedrick paced Ellington with 25 points, while Brock Morey contributed 17, Hunter Brewer and Ralon Morrisey each had nine and Conor Miller finished with eight.

Risco 86, Neelyville 83

Risco avenged an earlier loss to Neelyville in a battle of teams nicknamed Tigers.

Casen Stephens led Neelyville with 32 points, Grant Hale and Preston Goodnight each had 14 and Brock Davis finished with 12.

Puxico 74, Bloomfield 47

At Bloomfield, the visiting Indians had 10 players score at least one basket as they rolled past the Wildcats.

“We played well as a team and moved the ball well,” Puxico coach Bryant Fernetti said. “We shot it well.”

Scyler Zimmerman paced Puxico with 14 points, while Thomas Burch added 13, Trevor Fortner had 12, Duncan Crabb chipped in 11 and Jayden Mitchell finished with 10.

Ayden Hutchison led Bloomfield with 10 points, while Dowdy added nine and the duo of Upchurch and Barks each had eight.
