CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- A Halloween night visit to Austin Peay turned into quite a frightening proposition for Southeast Missouri State University's volleyball team.
The Otahkians fell out of a first-place Ohio Valley Conference tie as the Lady Govs romped to a 15-10, 15-12, 15-3 victory.
Southeast is now 20-8 overall and 10-3 in OVC play. Austin Peay improved to 17-7 overall, 10-4 in the league.
Jackie Derwort and Angie Aschoff paced the Otahkians offensively with 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Cathy Prichard had 16 digs while Tuba Meto recorded 31 assists.
Becky Sowinski led Austin Peay's balanced attack with 13 kills.
The Otahkians will continue on the road today, facing Tennessee State in a 1 p.m. match in Nashville.
