Junior midfielder Abby Klintworth netted a pair of second-half goals, and the Southeast Missouri State soccer team posted its second shutout of the weekend on Sunday with a 2-0 victory over Union University in Jackson, Tennessee.

The victory was the third straight for Southeast (5-3-1), which blanked Arkansas State 1-0 on Friday.

Klintworth headed in a corner kick from Jennifer Antonacci to give the Redhawks the lead six minutes into the second half. She deposited a rebound from a shot by Maddy Karstens in the 78th minute.

The Redhawks fired 11 of their 15 shots in the game during the second half.

Union (0-6) took nine shots at Southeast goalkeepers Alyssa Sickler and Kindra Lierz, who combined for the shutout.

Sickler made two saves in the first half, while Lierz made three saves in the second half.

Southeast had a season-high nine corner kicks against the Bulldogs.

Union goalkeeper Kristen Francis made five saves.

The Redhawks begin Ohio Valley Conference play Friday when SIU Edwardsville visits Houck Stadium for a 7 p.m contest.
