Kielhofner pitches Oran past Delta

Callie Kielhofner pitched a six-hitter to lead Oran past Delta 6-2 in softball action Monday.

Kielhofner struck out four, walked one and allowed one earned run.

Amanda Williams went 3-for-3 to lead the Eagles (9-2) offensively.

Taylor Smith had three hits for Delta (7-7). Kendra Burnett allowed six hits and just two earned runs. She struck out eight and walked two.

Chaffee pounded out 19 hits during a four-inning home rout.

Veronica Bennett went 4-for-4 and had three RBIs for the Red Devils (6-9), while Megan Horman went 3-for-3.

Also getting three hits were Madeline Kiefer and Hillary Eichhorn. Hannah Bedwell had two hits and three RBIs.

Kiefer pitched a three-hitter.

Chelsea Morris led the Cardinals (9-3) with six aces and nine kills.

Lauren Johnson had seven kills and Jessica Santi added five kills for Woodland.

Rachel Spears led Bell City to a road win with five kills, seven digs and five aces.

Jessica Abner had four digs and 11 kills, while Cody Lancaster added 15 assists for the Cubs (15-2-1).

Central defeated Marion in three games with help from Wendi Zickfield, who had 16 kills and eight blocks. Rita Walter chipped in with eight digs for the Tigers (10-6-2).

Central won all its singles matches and took two of three doubles matches to knock off Carbondale, Ill.

The Tigers improved to 8-1.

Jackson remained undefeated with the shutout victory.

Brian Davidson and Spencer McCormack both had two goals, while Garret Stone, Andrew Lysell, Tyson Stoverink and Robbie Martin added one each for the Indians (7-0).

Justin Darnell earned the shutout.

Eagle Ridge 7, Westminster 0

Eagle Ridge Christian remained undefeated by rolling past host Westminster Christian Academy of Edwardsville, Ill.

Daniel Cohn had two goals and four assists for Eagle Ridge (6-0). Ben Davis and Mary-Kate Galemmo added two goals each, while Josh Wisemen scored the other goal.

Ethan Grant made eight saves for the shutout.

Andrew Williams threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Sean Prince and ran two yards for a TD as Central's junior varsity improved to 3-0.
