The Kennett High School Bill Martin Gatorade Game has been pushed back to Thursday, Aug. 24.
This is due to ongoing construction of the Kennett School District No. 39 FEMA building on campus.
The event will take place at 6 p.m., at Metz Cherry Stadium. Admission is one sports drink.
Athletic director Jim Vaughan reported the schedule will include the introduction of Kennett high school and middle school football players.
Participants in high school volleyball, girls tennis, cross country and soccer also will be introduced to the crowd.
The flag team, cheerleaders and twirlers all will perform a routine.
The following evening, Kennett plays host to Hayti in the season opener set for 7 p.m.
