SCOTT CITY -- Kelly and Scott County Central will meet in the championship game of the Scott-Mississippi Conference Tournament Championship at 8 tonight after winning semifinal games on Wednesday.

Kelly posted a 53-35 win over Oran, while Scott County Central disposed of Delta 57-24.

For Kelly (11-2), Audrey Burford led the way with 13 points, followed by Jenny Riley with 11 and Bridgett Riley with 10. Oran was led by Sara Heisserer's 14 points, while Maria Eftink followed with 10.

"We had good balance in scoring," said Kelly coach Curtis Finley. "We're improving as a team."

Kelly led 28-15 at halftime and led 44-22 going into the fourth quarter.

In the other semifinal, Brandy Miller paced the Bravettes with 15 points, while Vontrice Blackmon had 14 and Lakeya Turner added 10.

For Delta, Rebecca Cook scored 10 points and was the only player in double figures.

Scott Central, after exploding to an 18-5 lead in the first quarter, led 31-14 at halftime.

BOYS

Windsor 61, Perryville 51

WINDSOR -- Windsor used tough defensive pressure to defeat the Pirates in a late game Tuesday night.

Perryville (2-8) kept the score close throughout the game and was only down 23-21 at the half and trailed 37-31 going into the fourth quarter.

Perryville's Michael Downen led the way with 19 points, Ryan Wichern added 12.

"They took us out of our game with tight man-to-man pressure," said Perryville coach Jeff Steffens. "We stayed close but couldn't get over the hump. We spent the night trying to catch up."

WRESTLING

Jackson 66, Marquette 6

JACKSON -- The Indians posted another lopsided victory Tuesday night, winning all but one of 14 matches, and improved to 4-1 in duels this season.

"I know the score looked big," said Jackson coach Steve Wachter, "but we had some outstanding matches with close decisions. I thought Marquette wrestled very well."

Jackson returns to action tonight, and will host Dexter.

The Jackson JV squad defeated Marquette, 63-17.
