BENTON -- Kelly hit a season-high nine 3-pointers as the Hawks slipped past Clearwater 70-67 Saturday.
Jeremy Skelton hit five of the 3-pointers as he scored a career-high 23 points. Jamie Essner added 21 points for the Hawks, who improved to 4-2 on the season.
"We shot ball real well from behind the line," said Kelly coach Kent Mangels.
Kelly led 36-32 at halftime, but saw Clearwater move ahead 52-50 by the close of the third quarter. Kelly outscored the Tigers 20-15 over the final eight minutes.
Josh Moreland scored a game-high 27 points for Clearwater.
