Eight teams will battle for the championship this weekend when the Wood & Huston Bank Junior American Legion Baseball Tournament is played in Cape Girardeau.
The three-day event, which gets under way today and concludes Sunday, will take place at both Cape Central High School and Notre Dame High School.
There will be two four-team divisions -- National and American -- with pool play today and Saturday leading up to Sunday's finals.
Host squad Wood & Huston Bank Post 63 heads up the National Division, along with Perryville, Imperial and Kirkwood.
Chaffee, Festus, Anheuser-Busch and Paducah (Ky.) make up the American Division.
There will be eight games today, four at both Cape Central and Notre Dame, beginning with a pair of contests at 10 a.m.
Eight more games will be held Saturday, four at each site.
Sunday's schedule will begin at 11 a.m. with the last-place pool finishers squaring off at Notre Dame for seventh place.
The other three games will be at Central: fifth place at 11 a.m., third place at 1 p.m. and championship at 3 p.m.
