The Scott City Lady Rams returned to .500 on the season after mauling Malden 12-4 on Thursday in Scott City.
The Green Wave took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning but the Rams scored a run in every inning. Journey Black drove in four runs for the Rams including a three-run home run in the sixth inning. Both hits were the first of her career.
Mackenzie Lawless pitched a complete game for the Rams, allowing four runs on four hits with 12 strikeouts. She also led off for the Rams, knocking in a pair of hits with an RBI.
Harley Glueck drove in two runs for the Rams and hit a triple in the third inning. Olivia Ponder also collected a couple of hits and added to her team-leading RBI total, which is at eight.
Rachel Rommel toed the rubber for Malden, throwing 4.2 innings, allowing nine runs on nine hits and one strikeout. She also led the Green Wave with two hits. Alyssa Broom threw 1.1 innings in relief.
Scott City hosts Delta on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
