GIBAULT, Ill. -- Jackson took a tough Gibault, Ill., team to the wire in high school volleyball action Saturday, but dropped a three-set match 15-10, 11-15, 14-16.
Jackson will take a 24-7-1 record into this week's district play.
After getting down 9-0 in the third set, the Lady Indians battled back.
"It was a real good match," Jackson coach Nancy Ellis said. "They had a good team."
Jennifer Mesey had an outstanding game with 11 kills, 17 digs, nine blocks and two aces.
Andrea Koeper had seven kills, 18 digs, six aces and two blocks. Casey Randol had eight kills, 13 assists and eight blocks. Erin Hartman had 11 digs, two kills and two blocks.
The Lady Indians will play North County or Cape Central at 6:30 p.m. Thursday night at North County High School in district action. Jackson is seeded second.
