Former St. Louis Cardinals pitcher James Naile has arrived in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) with a bang, delivering two stellar performances for the KIA Tigers.

In his March 27 debut against the Lotte Giants, Naile held opponents scoreless for six innings. He allowed just five hits while striking out seven and walking none, showcasing impressive control and an ability to limit baserunners. The Tigers capitalized on his efficiency, cruising to an 8-2 victory.

Naile continued his strong form against the KT Wiz on April 3. He surrendered a single earned run over six innings, again allowing five hits. Most impressively, he racked up nine strikeouts while issuing zero walks, earning the Tigers a 5-1 win.

Naile’s journey from Charleston, Missouri to international stardom continues to unfold.

After starring at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, he steadily worked his way up the minor leagues.
