* Jackson senior Danielle Daume has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Daume, a 5-foot-7 point guard, was named all-conference, all-district, all-region and academic all-state after a senior season in which she averaged 10 points per game. Jackson recently won its second straight Class 5 District 1 championship, finishing with a 15-13 record. UMSL, a Division II school, competes in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
* Jackson senior Kyleigh Troxel has signed a letter of intent to swim at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo. Troxel, who was all-state her final three years at Jackson, capped her high school career by placing fourth in the 500 freestyle and eighth in the 200 freestyle at the Missouri Swimming and Diving Championships. Troxel also was the Most Valuable Swimmer at the Show Me Conference meet this past season. Lindenwood, a Division II school, competes in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association conference.
