PERRYVILLE The Lady Bulldogs improved to 5-1 with an 18-point victory over St. Vincent.

The score remained close at halftime, with St. Vincent leading 20-19. The third quarter proved to be the Squaws' undoing as Notre Dame outscored St. Vincent 20-4.

"We played a great first half," said St. Vincent coach Terry Wengert. "The third quarter was a killer."

The second half was indeed trouble for St. Vincent, while Notre Dame woke up offensively and outscored the Squaws 37-18.

"I thought in the second half we did an excellent job," said Notre Dame coach Jerry Grim. "In the first quarter we did a lot of standing around. My point guard Courtney Vickery had eight assists in the second half vs. none in the first. We ended up with a total of 23 assists, but we only had five at halftime."

Notre Dame sophomore Deana McCormick was the top scorer of the contest, popping for 15 points. Teammate Lisa Millham added 15.

Cari Strattman was the leading scorer for St. Vincent, knocking down 12 points, nine of which were from 3-point land. Jessica Lakenan added 10 points.
