STE. GENEVIEVE -- Ste. Genevieve, the recent Tiger Classic champion, handed Jackson its first dual loss of the season, 43-37, in high school wrestling action Wednesday night.
Besides facing one of the state's top teams, the Indians, who placed second in the Tiger Classic, were hampered by three forfeits -- one due to illness and the others brought on by wrestlers who recently quit the team.
"We have a couple of holes right now and hopefully we'll fill them in time," said Jackson coach Steve Wachter.
Jackson won the JV match 42-33.
