ANNA, Ill. -- Zach Brazier broke a 9-9 tie with a two-run double with two outs in the seventh inning to cap an eight-run rally for Jackson's baseball team as it defeated Reitz, Ind., 11-9 on Saturday in the Quad States Tournament hosted by Anna-Jonesboro.
The Indians (6-2), who were down 9-3 entering the seventh, scored the runs on five hits, four walks and two hit batters. Reitz pitchers issued nine walks in the game.
Tyler Profilet had two hits and four RBIs for Jackson. Trevor Thompson and Brazier each added with two hits.
Bret Groenig earned the victory and Kyle Brown worked a scoreless seventh to earn his second save.
The Indians lost earlier in the day 5-2 to Anna-Jonesboro. Jason Meystedt and Rex Meyr each went 2-for-3 in the loss.
