Sheila Wade scattered eight hits and three walks over eight innings and then scored the winning run for the Jackson girls softball team in a 1-0 victory against visiting Seckman on Tuesday.
Seckman (15-7) had won the championship in the Jackson Invitational tournament on Saturday by winning four straight games, including the championship against Notre Dame.
Wade struck out three batters, including one with the bases loaded in the top of the eighth inning to end Seckman's threat in that inning. She was aided by two double plays as well as an outfield assist when center fielder Maggie Baugh threw out a runner at home in the fifth inning.
Wade led off the bottom of the eighth with a double for Jackson (11-9). Hana Bolen followed with a hit and Jessica Pitts singled to bring in the winning run.

Kristain Burger hit three home runs for Notre Dame, as the Bulldogs celebrated senior day with a five-inning home win.
Burge hit two of her homers in the bottom of the fifth inning, when the Bulldogs (20-2) ended the contest. She drove in seven runs. Burger has seven home runs this season to break her own school record of five from last year.
Senior Beth Schnurbusch pushed her pitching record to 11-0 with a three-hitter.
Cortney Ostendorf, Miranda Schlosser, Kaci Westrich and Hannah Glueck each had two of Notre Dame's 14 hits.

Amanda Nichols pitched a one-hitter with eight strikeouts and four walks, as Central shut out visiting Sikeston in six innings.
The Tigers (9-11) had only five hits but took advantage of five Sikeston errors.
Lindsay Greene had two hits, including a triple, and scored three runs. Paige Rothenberger added two hits.

Chaffee pushed across two runs in the top of the 10th inning to win a marathon from host Delta.
Courtney Walter drove in the game-winner with a one-out double.
Both pitchers worked all 10 innings. Chaffee's Sarah Benton allowed nine hits, struck out five and walked none. Delta's Kendra Burnett gave up eight hits, struck out 10 and walked five.

Kaci Menz led Delta (7-7) with three hits.

Notre Dame led just 1-0 with about 10 minutes left before pulling away with three late goals in a home victory.
Abe Dirnberger scored twice for Notre Dame (10-1), and Ryan Willen had a goal and two assists. Jack Wedemeier had the other goal, while Ty Williams and Richard Marquart added assists. Ryan Bass recorded the shutout.

Central improved to 10-7-2 with a road sweep.
The Tigers were led by Wendi Zickfield with eight kills and four blocks. Kristin Shirrell had 12 assists and Ashton Gerlach added eight digs.

Scott City used a balanced attack to ease past visiting Oran.
Jenni Heisserer had four kills for the Rams (9-3-1). Brooke Simpson had five blocks and three kills, and Livia Giovanni added seven assists.
Oran (2-10) was led by Cassie Graviett with five kills and Alyson Seyer with nine digs.

St. Vincent continued to roll with a home romp. St. Vincent (20-2-2) received 11 points, including three aces, along with four kills from Kelsey Cissell. Brooke Brown added five kills.

After losing a tight second game at home, Perryville rebounded to beat Crystal City.
Jocelyn Moll provided the Pirates (11-7-4) with six kills, five blocks and seven digs, while Liz Martin had seven kills, eight digs and nine assists. Brittany Castleberry added six kills and eight digs.

Saxony Lutheran squeezed out a narrow home victory.
Nicole Petzoldt served 10 points, including five aces, while adding five kills, five blocks and eight digs for the Crusaders (6-9-1). Kara Versemann had eight kills and 18 digs.

Chelsie Morris had 12 kills as Woodland slipped past visiting Fredericktown.
