CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Jackson's girls soccer team won one and lost two games Saturday to finish in fourth place at Carbondale's Fralish Cup Tournament.

Meanwhile, St. Vincent outscored its opponents 5-0 in consolation play to pick up a pair of wins to improve to 7-5-1.

Jackson beat Minooka (Ill.) 5-0 Friday night on goals from Angela Soemo, Wendy Blankenship, Erin Mayfield, Ashley Bartels and Kenzie Turley. The Lady Indians didn't score another regulation goal the rest of the tournament.

On Saturday, Jackson won a 4-2 shootout after the game was knotted at zero at the end of regulation.

The Lady Indians (6-5) then fell to Carbondale 1-0. They then lost in the third-place game 1-0 to Champaign Central in overtime.

Jackson center midfielder Erin Hartman and sweeper Jaime Vines were both named to the all-tournament team.

The Squaws won their first game Saturday 2-0 over Highland (Ill.) and then beat Marion (Ill.) 3-0.

Goalkeeper Mindy Cattoor recorded both shutouts.

In the first game, Amanda Carron scored on an assist from Amy Wengert. Whitney Guth assisted on a goal by Beth Hennemann.

In the second game, Nicole Richardet scored on an assist from Kindle Ernst, while Becky Kirn and Caitlin Hoeh each scored unassisted goals.
