With an 80 percent chance of rain predicted for Saturday, SEMO Conference baseball coaches had to feel fortunate to get six of seven tournament games completed on the third day of action.
The championship and third-place games are set, with only a consolation game between Jackson and New Madrid County left to finish.
Top-seeded Central's opponent in the final will be No. 7 Sikeston, which moved on to the championship game for the fourth straight year with a 20-11 win over No. 3 Kennett.
Kennett and Notre Dame will play at 3 p.m. Monday at Capaha Field in the third-place game. The championship game is set for 7:30 p.m.
In consolation play, Poplar Bluff edged Kelly 2-1 at Central to earn a spot in Monday's fifth-place game. Kelly had defeated Dexter 4-3 earlier in the day.
The Mules will play the winner of New Madrid and Jackson. The Indians led the second-seeded Eagles 4-3 heading to the top of the third when play was suspended, and the game will be picked up at 3 p.m. Monday at Central. The fifth-place game will start at 5:15 at Capaha Field.
Fifth-seeded Jackson won earlier in the day 6-0 over No. 9 Scott City at Notre Dame. Geoff Enders allowed three hits, struck out 11 and walked just one in a complete-game victory for the Indians (9-9).
Rex Meyr had two hits and two RBIs for Jackson. Cody Carlyle had two hits for the Rams.
In another consolation game at Notre Dame, New Madrid County beat No. 11 Chaffee 3-0 despite 12 strikeouts by Chaffee starter Steven Dooley. Dooley walked three and allowed five hits in a complete game.
