The Jackson Junior American Legion baseball team closed its regular season with a 10-7 victory over Pemiscot Senior Legion on Tuesday in Caruthersville, Missouri.

Jackson scored five times in the third inning and used 2 1/3 innings of two-hit relief by winning pitcher Ben Maudie in the nine-inning game.

Skylar Pease had a pair of doubles for Jackson (28-5), while Maudie added two hits. Jake Edwards finished with two RBIs.

Jackson's next game will be in the district tournament at Legion Field in Jackson. The No. 1 seed, Jackson received a bye and will face the Scott County-Cape winner at 4 p.m. Friday.
