The Jackson Post 158 Junior Legion baseball team defeated Ballwin 9-4 on Thursday night to keep its hopes of a zone tournament title.

The district champions will have to beat Festus twice today to advance to the state tournament. Festus defeated Post 158 earlier Thursday 6-5 in walk-off fashion.

Tyler Knight, Braeden Dobbs, Will Winagar and Tyler Amos all had two hits for Jackson in the win over Ballwin. Drew Brown got the win on the mound. He pitched five innings in relief, allowing no runs while giving up three hits and five walks.

The championship game will start at 3 p.m. today on the campus of Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis.
