Cape Girardeau Central's lone qualifier, Todd Obergoenner, shot a 77 for a tie for 14th.

CLASS 2A: Cape Girardeau Notre Dame, at the par-72 Island Green Golf Course in Republic, Mo., was in 12th place with a score of 348, behind leader Pembroke Hill's 301, but only 12 strokes behind fourth-place Brookfield and Hermann. The top four teams are recognized in state competition.

Notre Dame's Tim Buerck (tie for 22nd) led with an 81, followed by Adam Fenwick and Paul Unterreiner (tie for 62nd) with 87s. Adam Rigdon (tie for 91st) shot 93 and Jordan Kuper (tie for 109th) had a 99.

CLASS 1A: At the par-70 Bill & Payne Stewart Golf Course in Springfield, Mo., defending champion St. Vincent posted a 314 team score, only seven shots behind leader Gallatin.

Andrew Prost (tie for 7th) paced St. Vincent with a 76, Adam Prost (tie for 12th) shot 78, Wes Richardet (tie for 16th) had a 79, Joel Carron (tie for 35th) an 81 and Scott Prost (tie for 51st) an 84.

PERRYVILLE 8, WINDSOR 0

ST. LOUIS -- Perryville blanked Windsor in the quarterfinal round of the Class 1A-3A, District 1 tournament.

Ashley Hadler scored three goals with two assists for the Pirates (17-2-1). Britney Weibrecht scored two goals with two assists and Ashley Riney, Autumn Garris and Kate Lowry netted single goals. Jenna Schuessler and Jodie Amschler had one assist each.

Perryville goalie Amanda Nuyt recorded her 15th shutout.

Perryville will meet host St. Louis Notre Dame in a semifinal at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
